Two New York men arrested after drugs, cash and guns seized


WESTBROOK, Maine

– Police seized crack, heroin, a loaded weapon and money from a local motel room Sunday November 23rd.

Westbrook Police Chief Janine Roberts says bail violation investigation of 35-year-old Kortney Cox lead them to a Westbrook motel room last Sunday morning. Roberts said during the investigation, Maine Drug Enforcement Agency along with the Portland and Westbrook canine teams, were called in to assist in the investigation.

The investigation resulted in the arrest of two Brooklyn, New York men. Arrested were 36-year-old Deshaun Davis and 33-year-old Tod Rasberry, both from Brooklyn, New York.

Westbrook Police arrest man wanted in Oklahoma


WESTBROOK, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- Westbrook Police and Maine Violent Crime Task Force arrested a man Friday wanted on a warrant from Tulsa, Okla.

Police said Joshua D. Gordon was wanted for charges that included sexual abuse of a child under 12 and aggravated possession of child pornography. Police arrested him at a Brown Street residence without incident and he was booked at the Cumberland County Jail.

3 sent to hospital after crash in York County


HOLLIS, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- Police are investigating a single-vehicle crash that sent three people to the hospital in York County.

York County Sheriff's Office said it happened around 3:45 a.m. Wednesday morning on Townhouse road near the intersection of Whitehouse Road, close to the Hollis town line. The vehicle, a 2011 GMC crew cab pick-up truck struck a utility pole.

The driver was 23-year-old Matthew Lambert, of Lyman, was ejected upon impact. The front seat passenger, 23-year-old Tyler Tanch, of Waterboro, was able to get out of the vehicle on his own. 23-year-old David Strandburg, of Waterboro, needed to be extricated from the rear seat.

All three men were transported to Maine Medical Center with serious injuries.

Speed and weather conditions appear to be factors of this crash.
