WESTBROOK, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- An accidental fire burned three vehicles and damaged three others Tuesday morning at a Westbrook parking lot, said fire officials.

The Portland Press Herald reports that a single car fire was reported around 11:00 a.m. at a parking area near the Dana Warp Mill on Bridge Street. When they arrived, firefighters found two cars on fire and a third starting to burn. The parking lot had between 75 and 100 cars in total.

Firefighters were able to put out the fire within 20 minutes.

Fire Chief Andrew Turcotte said it appears that improperly disposed smoking materials caused the fire, but the official cause hasn't been determined yet.

Nobody was injured.
